Frequently asked questions
Advice on packing…
What can I pack?
You can pack anything that fits inside the number of bins you ordered. Keep in mind bins are 18x20x30.
How should I pack my items?
You are given a lock to connect the lid of the box to the box itself. College Haul Pass will not open the box, so the style in which you pack your box will remain that way until it’s delivered to you. For safe-keeping during transit, we recommend padding fragile items with towels, paper, etc. Keep in mind, boxes that are partially empty may allow your items to jostle while in transit. It’s best to fill boxes as close to the top as you’re able.
Will College Haul Pass open my boxes?
No, College Haul Pass will not open your boxes. You will securely lock your box once you’ve finished packing, and that lock will remain until you cut it off when your items are delivered.
How are my boxes tracked?
Your locking tag is associated with your customer number. Our secure warehouse organizes your boxes once stored, allowing your item to continually be tracked in our system.
What is the storage warehouse like?
All boxes and oversized gear items are stored in a climate controlled, 24/7 monitored, securely gated and locked warehouse.
What if my plans change and I’m going to need to store my items longer?
You can log into your account and update your final delivery address or the number of months you need for storage. You can always reach out to us at letsgo@collegehaulpass.com if your circumstance changes and you want to discuss extensions or changes.
Can I pack liquid items like laundry detergent or shampoo?
Yes! However, keep in mind the way you pack your box is important. Items may shift while in transit, and packing your liquids inside zip bags, ensuring they remain upright, and snuggly with other items will help ensure your liquids to not leak or spill.
